Obviously I'm glad to see the blue wave has hit the U.S.
What's funny is that I literally wrote in my journal that this would happen days before, so maybe manifestation does work lol.
However, I live in TN and unfortunately we did not catch onto the wave. Luckily, the county I live in voted blue and a decent amount of other counties voted blue as well. But, I think that as long as TN continues to be TN, I doubt we will ever escape the red. So far, I have voted in three elections and every time I am reminded the importance of going to vote. People really take that shit for granted.
My main beef is with the people who voted independent/chose not to vote even though they had no excuse not to. It's like how can you be so spineless and lazy? I used to be one of those people who thought their vote didn't matter, but I still showed up. Not voting is a vote, btw.
I just can't stand people who complain about things not changing or things not being what they want and doing nothing about it. Voting is literally the easiest thing you can do, it doesn't even take much to read up on candidates and shit. There really is no excuse to not be educated and informed, people just choose to remain ignorant then act all confused cause they don't know what's going on.
I will say though, I genuinely feel that this election will finally change things or at least get people to wake tf up and step out of their bubble. It's also restored a little bit of faith in humanity within me. Majority of people care, i think it's just the government trying to convince us that everyone is apathetic and has given up. It'll be interesting to see where this goes within the next two years.
